Step by Step: Your Post-LOS Process

Designated Organizations (DOs) are officially approved Canadian business groups, such as incubators, angel investor networks, or venture capital firms that have been authorized by IRCC to support Startup Visa applicants. Their role is to evaluate your startup idea and, if they believe in your potential, issue a Letter of Support (LOS), which is a required part of your visa application. These organizations are trusted by the Canadian government to back real, innovative, and scalable businesses. Simply put, without a DO’s endorsement, you can’t move forward with the Startup Visa. That’s why choosing the right one and approaching them the right way matters.

Different Types of Designated Organizations (DOs)

1

Business Development

Now that your startup is approved, it's time to make it real. We’ll help you shape your business model, set goals, and put together a plan that fits the Canadian market. Whether you’re exploring your first customers or fine-tuning your strategy, we’re here to help you build with purpose and direction.

Investment Requirement:

To support a Start-Up Visa application, a designated venture capital fund must invest a minimum of $200,000 CAD into the applicant's business.

2

Product Development

Got a product idea? We’ll help bring it to life. From early sketches to working prototypes, we support you in designing, testing, and improving your product so it’s ready for real users. Our goal is to make sure what you build not only works, but makes sense in the Canadian (and global) market.

Investment Requirement:

A designated angel investor group must invest a minimum of $75,000 CAD into the applicant's business to support a Start-Up Visa application.

3

Report Writing

Keeping up with progress reports and paperwork is key. We help you prepare clear, detailed reports that show how your startup is moving forward. These aren’t just for checking boxes, they’re for proving to IRCC and your incubator that you’re building what you promised.

Requirement:

To support a Start-Up Visa application, a designated business incubator must accept the applicant into one of its incubation programs.

4

Digital Marketing & Branding

Your startup needs more than a logo, it needs to show up, stand out, and build trust. We help you create a clean, credible brand, build a strong website, and develop content for social media and beyond. It’s not just about visibility, it’s about making a strong impression in a new market.

Requirement:

To support a Start-Up Visa application, a designated business incubator must accept the applicant into one of its incubation programs.

Forget templates. We work with you to build a business plan that actually fits your startup. We’ll ask the right questions, gather key details, and write a plan that reflects your goals, your model, and your strategy, ready for both your team and Canadian decision-makers.
